What Do I Need?
Windows 10 or 11 on both PCs. Sharing needs a supported hardware video encoder on an NVIDIA, AMD or Intel graphics card. Keep your graphics drivers up to date.
Is There A Free Trial?
Yes. Premium starts with a free day on either plan. If you cancel during that day, you pay nothing; otherwise it renews at the price you chose. Launch subscribers keep the launch price for as long as they stay subscribed.
Will I Need An Account?
Yes, a free account. The app opens your browser to sign in on the website with a password, an email code or Google, including optional authenticator-app two-step sign-in. You return to the app signed in. Manage your account and plan on the website.
Do I Need Tailscale?
Tailscale and local-network connections go directly between your PCs. Without them, Premium connects through our relays in the US and Europe, end-to-end encrypted so the relay can't see anything.
Can I Change Screens Without Premium?
Yes. Free lets you view one screen at a time and switch between them. Viewing several screens at once is available when either the viewer or the host's owner has Premium.
Can Other People Control My PC?
In This PC, choose who can connect, whether they must ask first and what each person can control. Change permissions or disconnect a guest while they're connected. Free allows 1 person connected at a time; the host owner's Premium plan allows up to 4.
Is It Secure?
Connections are end-to-end encrypted. Only devices you allow get in: ones you paired with a code shown on your PC, your own signed-in devices, and people you invite. You can switch off each person's mouse, keyboard, controller, clipboard and sound, kick anyone, and have your PC ask before anyone connects. More about security. Only connect to PCs you own or have permission to use.
Can I Play Games?
Yes. Relative mouse capture and streaming at up to 240 frames per second support responsive play. Xbox and other XInput controllers work too: they play on the shared PC as Xbox 360 controllers, rumble included. Free includes 1 controller, and the host owner's Premium plan allows up to 4. The shared PC needs a small free driver, installed with one click.
